History

Sree Narayana Central School, Mavelikara is the embodiment of a long cherished dream of the disciples of Sree Narayana Guru who stressed the need of education for uplifting the downtrodden of the society. They assembled under the umbrella of Sree Narayana Samskarika Samithy Mavelikara Taluk unit and visualized the setting up of a school of in 1986. Thus a school named SN Vidyapeedom was opened in the building of Kurathikad SNDP Brach Office. Financial and management problems crippled the functioning of the school, contrary to the spirited aspirations of the members of the Samithy. The management faced a myriad of problems and finally the school was shifted to its location in Cherukunnam SNDP Building in 1988. Later the school started functioning in its own land and building. Over the years, the school has achieved many laurels to its glory in both curricular and co-curricular activities. It celebrated its silver jubilee with great pomp and joy in 2011.
