Kindergarten

Man has infinite intellectual potential. This potential is to be identified and nurtured. Tender aged kiddies need very special care. School needs to be a haven for them. They need not be much bothered with Academics tasks. In these classes pupils are encouraged to learn oral English through music and drama. Elements of English phonetics, basic writing and reading skills are also introduced in the KG classes. K G Classes in Sree Naryana Central School Mavelikara are mainly play-oriented with fewer burdens on the children. We believe that education is about preparing and equipping young people for life and not just for school. We aim at good health and proper growth of children leading to the optimum expression of their overall well-being. The school aims at making the child an emotionally balanced person. It thereby helps him/her to live in harmony with himself/herself and the society. It includes emotional expansion, handling emotions, handling relationships, gender specific education, mental health assessment and counselling. It includes intellectual kindling, independent thinking, management skills, aesthetics, intellectual assessment and guidance. Conduct of a student is a very important aspect of his education. It aims at the overall unfolding and gentle blossoming of children at the physical, mental, intellectual and aesthetic levels of their personalities. To give them good health and proper growth, to make them emotionally balanced, to help them manifest their inherent intellectual capabilities, to let them discover their inherent potentials and manifest it are a few major objectives..

The K G students will be free from the stress and strains of homework so that they get maximum time at home for play and enjoyment in the family atmosphere. In these classes emphasis is given to spoken English, recitation, reading work, etc. and to teach the fundamentals of arithmetic.

Primary Section

In the Primary Section, the young children are imparted foundation training in preparation for formal education later on. The children are offered ample opportunities for learning by doing, and the children’s individual progress is monitored closely. Children are provided with a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that would help them discover their own creative talents.

Child-centered education methodology is to motivate learning by doing, rather than depending on rote memory. The project method of learning is adopted in order to sustain and internalize learning. Monthly assessment tests and terminal examinations are conducted on a regular basis for assessing the step by step progress of students. Computer Aided Education, Outdoor Trips, etc. play an important role in the teaching-learning process in the Primary classes.
